The  expedition includes comprehensive acclimatization processes, high altitude training.

Preparation for Premium Mount Everest Expedition

 

  • The expedition is tough but highly rewarding as well. So, prepare yourself psychologically and physically to withstand all possible hazard that may come across your path during the journey.

 

  •  The expedition is challenging but worthy. We will train you every well to be in the Himalayas by providing you with all technique know how and techniques. We will have enough time at the Base Camp to let you prepare yourself before the ascent.

 

  • The summit lies at a higher altitude and can cause altitude sickness but proper acclimatization and enough oxygen will let you go through. We will always have extra bottles of oxygen in case of emergencies. This is why one must go on an expedition to any of the 6/7 thousander before heading to Mount Everest. This will not only help you gain experience in the high altitude but also familiarize you with all gears and equipment while handling extreamly cold temperatures, gaining grea crampon skills on and off the rock, snow, ice, rappelling with a pack on and using ascenders and jumars on a fixed line. Along with tolerance at a high altitude, you need strenght, endurance and strong carnivascular conditioning.

 

  • Hypxia tent taining for a lifetime of 12 weeks is highly suggested for a cilmbers starting from a sea level for effective preparation and proper acclimatization for an intermediate high altitude 6000 meters peaks like Mera Peak before heading for the Mount Everest climb, aiming for a 100% success rate. Training in Hypoxia or reducing oxygen environment has become essential for climbers preparing for high altitude ascents like Mount Everest. Hypoxia tent training improves endurance, enhance oxygen utilization, reduce altitude sickness risk, and fosters psychological readiness. 

 

Focus on the following technique, assuming you are in good health and injury free:

  • Climbing Conditioning:

Engage in uphill and downhill hiking with a backpack along with walking and stair climbing to stimulate real climbing conditions.

 

  • Strength Training:

Develop overall body and core strength to support endurance and stability during climbs.

 

  • Cardiovascular Training:

Intergrate both aerobic and anaerobic exercise with and without pack weight to build stamina and improve endurance.

 

  • Flexibility Training:

Perform full body stretches to enhance mobility and reduce injury risk.

 

  • Hypoxia Training:

Use hypoxia tent to imitate high altitude environment  that will help your body in acclimatization and to reduce oxygen level for improved high altitude performance.

Includes

  • International and domestic pick up and drop off services as per the itinerary.
  • 05 nights in a 5- star hotel in Kathmandu on bed and breakfast plan with single occupancy.

  • Private individual member sleeping box tent big (10×12). bed with thick mattress. pillow, shower and private toilet tent at Base Camp.
  • Common Equipment at Base Camp: Kitchen tent, communication tent, etc.
  • Private luxury 8K dining tent with heater, tables and chairs.
  • 8K founder Mr. Lakpa Sherpa will be there during the entire expedition for overall management.
  • Unlimited internet service at Base Camp.
  • HRA medical camp provides emergency medical sevice.
  • Generator and solar system for charging electronic devices at Base Camp.
  • Camp II Service: Dinning tent with tables and chairs, kitchen tent, toilet tent will be provided with cook and kitchen helpers.
  • High Camp Service: Sleeping tent (01 Member: 01 Tent), shovel, extra ropes. EPI gas, gas burner (MSR Rector), coffle set, etc.

  • Weather forecast during the entire expedition. We purchase weather forecast from Nepalese Meteotest and Swiss Meteotest. We also tally proper and reliable weather forecast from other source as well.
  • Accident, medical and helicopter rescure insurance for involved Nepalese field staffs.
  • One certified IFMGA/UIAGM guide.
  • Two veteran and highly experienced climbing guide.
  • One high altitude photographer.
  • 12 bottles of Oxygen (Armotech) per member and 03 bottles for each climbing guide.
  • Summit mask and regulator set for each member and climbing guide.
  • Helicopter and rescue team stand by in case of any emergencies.
  • Extra back up Sherpa in case need substitution,
  • Sufficient backup oxygen bottles and mask regulator set available at our Base Camp.

Excludes

  • Nepal entry visa fee (To be applied for 90 days).
  • International flights.
  • Lunch and dinner during stay in Kathmandu.
  • Medical and emergency high altitude helicopter rescue insurance (Minimum coverage USD $90,000). This is mandatory for all the participants.
  • Personal climbing gears and equipment.
  • Summit bonus USD $2,500/- for each climbing guide separately and USD $500/- for Kitchen helpers must be hand over in cash at Base Camp after the successful ascent of the peak also please calculate some tips for the guide and porters.
  • Any other services which are not mentioned in the "Service Includes".

Trip Notes

Please do remember these things.

Climbers are advised to prepare and train their bodies and mind in a perfect way to adapt to the remoteness, high altitude, and distance from the families. It is also advised to carry lesser amounts of valuable belongings. Also, pack in some cotton clothes for your stay in Kathmandu while some warm ones for the Himalayas. Always keep a copy of your passport and photos with you. 

 

Request From 8K Expeditions

Trekking and mountain climbing in the Mount Everest Region are highly dependent on weather conditions. We try to schedule our trips at the most favorable time but in case of extreme scenarios, domestic flights to Lukla may be delayed or canceled. In cases as such, we would like to notify you that except for the total number of days in the itinerary section, expenses of other extra days shall be borne by the client himself/herself. However, 8K Expeditions will make necessary arrangements for the accommodation of porters and guides. If you wish to make alternative arrangements such as a helicopter flight to avoid flight delays, we can arrange it at a nominal extra charge. 

 

Also, 8K Expeditions shall not be liable for any compensation for losses due to missed International Flights but we will surely help to make necessary arrangements to minimize your loss. To avoid missing flights, we suggest keeping some flexible time frames before trip departure and after trip departure. 

 

Also be notified that as we will be traveling in remote areas with extreme climatic conditions and geography where trails can be distorted at times, we might need to adjust our itineraries as required.  But we assure you that the quality of service shall not be compromised at any cost.

 

 

 

Cost of Climbing Premium Everest Expedition

 

The expedition costs vary depending on factors including: group size, royalty and permit costs in different seasons, category of hotel accommodation, numbers of Sherpa’s allocated and equipment, type of arrangement and package customization.
