Asimina Inglezou Summits Mt. Makalu (8,485m) Ahead Of Everest And Lhotse Expedition

Guinness Record Holder Asimina Inglezou Summits Makalu with Pemba Dorchee Sherpa

 

A proud moment from the summit of the world’s 5th-highest mountain Mount Makalu (8,485m).

 

Heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Asimina Inglezou 🇬🇷 , Guinness World Record holder for the Fastest Completion of the Great Himalayan Trail on Foot (Female) in Nepal 2024, completing the trail in just 52 days, 6 hours and 23 minutes, on her successful summit of Mt. Makalu. She reached the summit alongside our professional climbing guides Mr. Pemba Dorchee Sherpa “Maila Pemba” 🇳🇵 and Mr. Pema Rinje Sherpa 🇳🇵.

As part of her preparation and acclimatization journey, Ms. Asimina also successfully summited Lobuche East Peak (6,119m),building the strength, confidence and high-altitude experience required for one of the Himalaya’s most demanding 8000ers.

 

This remarkable achievement marks another historic milestone in her mountaineering journey, as Ms. Asimina Inglezou became the First Greek woman to successfully summit Mt. Makalu (8,485m). Also, she is the first female climber from 8K Expeditions to successfully summit Makalu during the Spring 2026 season.
