I have known Lakpa for many years and have had the privilege of watching him work in the mountain’s multiple times. In 2023, I climbed K2 with 8K. It was a really difficult season, with unpredictable weather and many doubts whether the peak would be accessible to climbers at all. Our group of climbers was international, people with different experiences and different needs, but the leader of the expedition, Lakpa and all people from 8K, were very persistent in helping us achieve success. First of all, the Sherpas from 8K were the core of the fixing rope team. They did a lot of work in difficult conditions. Our Sherpas, full of professionalism, supported us on the way to the summit, despite the changeable weather, heavy snowfall and the lack of camp 4.

The service in BC was really above average. 8K cooperated locally with an excellent agency from Pakistan, Summit Karakoram, and it was a very good choice. I had the opportunity to meet 8K and see how well it works, already in the first year of their activity, at Manaslu in 2021. This year I hope to join the 8K team again in the summer in Pakistan, on another expedition to the 8,000-meter peak. I recommend this agency to my friends, because you can rely on them. My Everest summit journey with 8K was wonderful. Before Everest I did EBC trek, lobuche climbing and manaslu climbing with 8k and made the success under their experienced organisation, responsible guidance and improving management. I just successfully summited Mt. Everest in May 2024. The expedition was organised very professionally by 8K Expeditions. What I liked about 8K was that the co-founders were at the helm of expedition operations and were supervising it themselves on the field be it at the Base Camp or at Lukla or even at Kathmandu. Plus they had a very good team of strong and experienced climbing Sherpas incl. mine. They are among the top expedition companies in Nepal. Highly recommended.

We had such a great experience with 8kexpedition!
Upon arrival they waited for us at the airport and after that we had a shuttle straight to our beautiful accommodation, located right in the city centre. Also with a magnific view over the city. I felt very spoiled, which is a super plus considering the effort that followed, so it was a great start of the trip.The name of the hotel is Aloft and I totally recommend it, great facilities and kind staff!!
After 2 nights we started our trip to Lukla and meet our sherpas and porters. Pmba Chhiri, Gombu and Ngimadawa were so careful with us. Always smiling, always carrying.. I would dare to say that we had the greatest Sherpas on our way to Island Peak!!!
Food was also good. Huge thanks for your infinite support and the great skills you have.  Keep going with great work! Maybe we ll see again!

Organized trip to Everest base camp for 8k, an expectacular reception, supervision and follow-up, trained guides and very attentive to everything, without any kind of detail in the air, without a doubt I will repeat with them, both kunga and Yangchen sherpa They have everything under control at all times, something very important at that altitude, without a doubt the best agency in Kathmandu, from the reception and processing of documents before the trip to the last day, a 10 to 10 in everything.

8K has great service to their valued clients with great attention to details, safety and excellent value for their clients hard earned money. Excellent success rates for their trekking / climbing clients and when I was with them to climb Everest 2022 we were eating like we were at a 5 star hotel but in basecamp. I am talking chicken sizzlers and chicken Cordon bleu just to name a couple and every night was different and delicious. We also had very comfortable large personal box tents with thick comfortable mattresses and sit toilets for much comfort. Their customer service is equivalent to that of companies who charge more than $80,000 USD for Mt Everest but at half this cost. Not only all of this but 8K Expeditions pvt is leading the way in supporting and helping suffering disadvantaged children in the remote Himalayas. I am a very happy customer and this is the only company that I would recommend and highly endorse as I worked in customer service for many years and I am very detail oriented. Climbed Himlung Himal with 8K Oct/Nov 2021 along with five Icelandic friends and the smile is still stuck on my face. The food in BC was out of this world really given the circumstances and location and believe me the importance of good food on trips like that cannot be overrated. Top-notch guiding, top-of-the-line equipment, excellent facilities at BC, and all in all great experience from the moment we landed in Kathmandu till the moment we left Nepal.

Going trekking or climbing mountains in Nepal? I recommend 8K Expeditions because of their professionalism. They are not there for the hype and fame, they really do love Nepal and mountains. They helped me to make my dream come true - to live paint paint at the base camp! Thanks for that I gifted one of the paintings to 8K owner Lakpa. I also had the best guide while trekking - Shekhar Tamang. Really nice and helpful guy, so I recommend asking him as your guide.

One of the most important recommendation from me is to do your homework, read about altitude sickness A LOT so that you will know what's going on with your body. This way you can be confident in yourself and not be bothered too much if some of the symptoms appear.

So glad that we choose 8K, very professional and fast respond when something bad happen. Although i didn't finish the trek cuz my condition not allowed me, but i really enjoyed the journey, so amazing with spectacular views. So much thankfull to our excelent guide Nirmal (always stay behind me and look after me) and Raj, and Yangchhen (she's the best 👍🏼) for the fast respond evacuation and manage everything from afar, me and my friends arrived safely at kathmandu. I loved my expedition with 8k this autumn, normally on expéditions we loose weight but we gained weight because of a great cooker !
