Trip Overview

Pisang Peak Climbing, also called Jong Ri (6091 m) Climbing 2026 in the local language, is a stunning pyramidal-shaped trekking peak in the remote Manang district. Located between Annapurna I and Mt. Manaslu, Pisang Peak was first climbed in 1955 during a German expedition.

Pisang Peak climbing in 2026 is considered an easy trekking peak despite the impressive height of 6091 m. The climbing route is comprised of scrambles/glaciers and icy surfaces. However, there is a very low level of technicalities involved, and it doesn't require much experience of climbing. Having said this, we must focus on proper rest and acclimatization throughout our trek and the climbing period. The summit offers extraordinary panoramic views of the Chulu range, the Annapurna massif, Damodar Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Tilicho Peak, and Glacier Dome, along with numerous other smaller peaks. The effort applied during the trek is worth it compared to the majestic scenery that the summit offers.

Why Climb Pisang Peak in 2026?

The trekking trail to Pisang Peak Climbing is incomparably beautiful as it takes us through rural villages of Manang, where we will have an opportunity to witness the culture and traditions of the Ghale community as well as Tibetan immigrants. We will be mesmerized to see the varied ecosystem, diverse culture, stunning landscapes, dense forests, apple farms, and the simple lifestyle of local people. We will walk through picturesque villages to forests of rhododendron and pines leading to yak pastures and slowly to the alpine zone.

Best Season for Pisang Peak Climbing 2026/2027

The best seasons for Pisang Peak climbing in 2026 and 2027 are spring, autumn, and summer, as well as winter, as the Manang district receives comparatively less rainfall. Make sure you allocate enough time to explore all the hidden corners while on this trip.
