Garbage Management Fees for the Mountains under Government of Nepal
8K Expeditions is firmly committed to environmental sustainability and responsible mountaineering practices. The company assumes full responsibility for the collection, management, transportation, and proper disposal of all garbage and garbage generated during expeditions organized under its operation.
All expedition members and staff are required to strictly follow the garbage management regulations set forth by the Government of Nepal. Recyclable and disposable waste materials shall be processed, recycled, or destroyed in the presence of the concerned government authorities wherever feasible. Any waste that cannot be recycled or disposed of in the mountain region must be transported back to Kathmandu and handed over to the designated government authorities in accordance with official environmental protocols and directives.
To ensure effective garbage management and preservation of the Himalayan environment, each mountaineering expedition team shall deposit the prescribed garbage management amount as mandated by the Government of Nepal.
