8K Expeditions: Everest and Lhotse Expeditions puja Ceremony Begins at Everest Base Camp (5,364 m)

With this ritual, the official start of the 8K Expeditions Everest (8,848 m) and Lhotse (8,516 m) expeditions is now set in motion, carrying the prayers, hopes, and determination of every climber and Sherpa into the mountains. Wishing every climber and Sherpa a successful summit and safe descent.

The puja was successfully completed in the presence of our founders, Mr. Lakpa Sherpa, Mr. Lakpa Thendu Sherpa, and Mr. Pemba Sherpa, alongside all our dedicated Sherpas and climbers united at the foot of the world’s highest peak.

Likewise, the Everest route was previously closed due to the Khumbu Icefall conditions, but from today, the route is now officially open for all climbers aiming for the Everest summit.

From this powerful moment, the path to the summit of Mount Everest (8,848 m) and Lhotse (8,516 m), one of the world’s most challenging and majestic 8,000ers, officially begins.

Lha (God) Gyalo (Victory)!!
