Two Climbers Summit Lobuche East Peak (6,119 m) on 27 October 2026

8K Expeditions proudly celebrates the successful ascents of Lobuche East Peak (6,119 m) by Austrian climber Mario Ing. Egger and Dutch climber Lili Sioe Lan on 27 October 2026. Both climbers reached the summit alongside their respective 8K Expeditions climbing guides, marking another remarkable achievement in their Himalayan mountaineering journeys.

Mario Ing. Egger reached the summit at 5:50 AM, accompanied by climbing guide Chhewang Sherpa, while Lili Sioe Lan successfully reached the peak at 9:00 AM with climbing guide Dorjee Sherpa.

From Mera Peak to Lobuche East: Mario Egger's Continuing Journey

For Mario Ing. Egger, the Lobuche East summit marks another important milestone in an impressive sequence of Himalayan climbs. After successfully summiting Mera Peak (6,476 m) on 21 October 2026, he returned to the mountains and added another 6,000-meter peak to his mountaineering achievements.

His journey continues with Island Peak (6,189 m) as the next challenge. With one more summit ahead Mario is continuing his ambitious Himalayan adventure with the support of the 8K Expeditions team.

Lili Sioe Lan Reaches Lobuche East Peak

Dutch climber Lili Sioe Lan also achieved a significant milestone by successfully summiting Lobuche East Peak at 9:00 AM on 27 October 2026 accompanied by climbing guide Dorjee Sherpa.

Her achievement reflects the determination, perseverance and commitment required to take on the challenges of high-altitude mountaineering. The successful ascent marks another memorable moment in her Himalayan journey.

Like Mario, Lili's adventure continues toward Island Peak (6,189 m) where she will take on her next mountaineering challenge.
