Mr. Dorje Sherpa is an Elite Mountain Professional and Sirdar with over 15 years of experience leading Himalayan expeditions and a Senior Rescue Specialist at Karuna Hospital. Known for a safety-first leadership style, strong communication skills and the ability to guide international climbers while sharing deep cultural and environmental knowledge of the Himalayas.

 

He has successfully led 45+ summits of major trekking peaks, including Island Peak (15+), Lobuche Peak (15+), Mera Peak (10+) and Yala Peak (5), along with several others such as Naya Khang, Chulu East, and Pokhalde.

 

With a background in Social Work and Anthropology (MA Candidate), he combines technical climbing expertise, cultural storytelling, and professional expedition logistics to ensure safe, meaningful, and well-organized mountain experiences. Passionate about environmental conservation, songwriting, and exploring remote Himalayan cultures.
