Ms. Melisha reached the summit at 9:00 AM on 5 October 2026, marking an outstanding achievement in her mountaineering journey. Standing at 6,189 metres above sea level, Island Peak is one of Nepal’s most popular high-altitude climbing destinations and offers a demanding yet rewarding Himalayan experience.

The climb requires determination, physical endurance, proper acclimatization and essential mountain skills. From the approach through the Khumbu region to the challenging final ascent, every stage of the expedition demands careful preparation, commitment and teamwork.

With the expert guidance and support of Mr. Chhewang Sherpa, Ms. Melisha demonstrated remarkable courage and perseverance throughout the climb. Her successful summit is a testament to her dedication and passion for adventure.
