Double Peak Summit Success: Justine Beaulieu Gervais Conquers Lobuche East And Island Peak

A remarkable double-peak achievement in the Everest region

8K Expeditions proudly congratulates Ms. Justine Beaulieu Gervais of Canada on completing an extraordinary double-peak achievement in Nepal’s Everest region.

After successfully summiting Lobuche East Peak at 6,119 metres on 16 September 2026, Justine reached the summit of Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse, at 6,189 metres on 20 September 2026 at 8:15 AM.

From Lobuche East to Island Peak

Ms. Justine’s journey began with the successful ascent of Lobuche East. Only a few days later, she took on the technical and demanding climb of Island Peak. Reaching two major Himalayan summits in one expedition is a significant accomplishment that reflects her preparation, perseverance, and passion for mountaineering.

From the trails of the Khumbu to the high-altitude summit of Island Peak, every stage of the journey required determination and commitment. Justine’s achievement is a powerful example of the climbing spirit that inspires adventurers from around the world to explore the Himalayas.
