Xenia Santha Becomes The First Hungarian Woman To Summit Ama Dablam

First Hungarian Women to summit Ama Dablam (6,812 m)

8K Expeditions proudly celebrates the successful ascent of Ama Dablam (6,812 m) by Australian climber Mr. Paul Reid Clarke and Hungarian climber Ms. Xenia Santha on 28 October 2026. This remarkable achievement marks a historic milestone for Xenia, who becomes the first Hungarian woman to reach the summit of Ama Dablam.

Ms. Xenia Santha reaching the summit represents a particularly significant milestone in her mountaineering journey. Following her successful ascent of Manaslu (8,163 m) in 2025, she has now added Ama Dablam to her Himalayan achievements, making history as the first Hungarian woman to summit this iconic peak.

Paul Reid Clarke’s Impressive Mountaineering Journey

For Paul Reid Clarke, this successful ascent marks his second summit of Ama Dablam with 8K Expeditions, adding another achievement to his impressive Himalayan climbing record. His previous expeditions with 8K include successful ascents of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Annapurna  and Manaslu.

8K Expeditions extends its heartfelt congratulations to Paul and Xenia on this outstanding achievement.

We also recognize the dedication, professionalism and commitment of our climbing team, whose expertise and support remain integral to every successful expedition.
