We are overjoyed to announce that Ms. Julia Hamilton has successfully summited Mt. Makalu (8,485 m), the world's 5th highest mountain, marking the successful completion of our Spring 2026 Makalu Expedition with grand summit success and safety!

Adding another remarkable achievement to her mountaineering journey with 8K Expeditions Ms. Julia previously successfully summited Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) in 2024 and Mt. Everest (8,848.86 m) in 2025. Her other notable summits include Ama Dablam, Aconcagua, and Elbrus, along with 41 Alpine 4,000-meter peaks.


We extend our deepest appreciation to our Sherpa guides, Lakpa Sherpa and Dawa Tenjen Sherpa, whose leadership, experience, and sound mountain judgment were instrumental in ensuring the safety and success of the expedition. Congratulations to Dawa Tenjen Sherpa on his second Makalu summit of the season.
