8K Expeditions has provided financial aid of Rs, 100000 to the family of Prema Rogu, a 19-year-old resident of Mahalaxmi Municipality-2 in Dhankuta district who is battling a rare bone marrow disease. Prema is a student of Bachelor of Science whose treatment is undergoing at the civil hospital in Kathmandu. Her family published a news story in the Newspaper "The Himalayan Times" asking for contribution and support. Upon knowing about the Prema’s condition, our 8K Team decided to support their family, and our three Founders (Mr. Lakpa Thendu Sherpa , Pemba Sherpa , and Lakpa Sherpa )made a short visit to the hospital to provide financial support directly.
8K Expedition Founder Mr. Lakpa Sherpa handed an amount of Npr 100,000 to Bishnu Kumar Rogu, Prema’s father. "We have been supporting the needy under the company's corporate social responsibility," Lakpa said, adding that every foreigner who spent funds for their adventure activities through 8K was contributing at least 1.5 percent of total spending to the company's CSR.
