Alpomania Team Successfully Summits Mt. Everest (8,848.86 m) – Spring 2026 Expedition

An Alpomania mountaineering team successfully summited Mount Everest (8,848.86 m) on 17 May 2026, marking one of the season's landmark achievements on the world's highest peak.

The expedition was led by Ukrainian mountaineer Mr. Valentyn Sypavin, a veteran high-altitude climber with ascents of K2, Dhaulagiri, Makalu, and Lhotse to his name. The Everest summit marks his 9th successful climb of the mountain. Joining him as a certified IFMGA guide was Nepali mountaineer Mr. Ashok Lama, whose technical expertise and local knowledge were instrumental throughout the expedition.

The team comprised climbers from Ukraine, the United States, and Nepal, supported by an experienced Sherpa crew whose dedication and effort were central to the expedition's success.

A Historic Milestone: Ms. Hana Yatsyna

Among the many achievements of this expedition, one stands out as a piece of history. Ms. Hana Yatsyna, at just 25 years of age, became the youngest Ukrainian woman ever to summit Mount Everest. Standing atop the world's highest peak on 17 May 2026, Hana's ascent is not only a personal triumph but a proud moment for Ukraine and for women in high-altitude mountaineering. Her courage, resilience, and determination at such a young age serve as an inspiration to aspiring climbers everywhere proof that the summit of Everest knows no limits of age or nationality.
